Iranian State television is showing images of the aftermath of an earthquake in the southern part of the country. Seven people are dead and dozens wounded. The U.S. Geological Service says the quake was a 6.1 on the Richter Scale. It struck about 30 miles west-southwest of Bandar Abbas, the site of a major oil refinery. Iran's official IRNA news agency says the area also suffered aftershocks. Any quake above magnitude 6 can cause severe damage.
