Why are you using DotAsia, what do you see as the benefits and what are your plans with the website?

I feel by opening up the ".Asia" domain we will see a large influx of the Asian population supporting this domain.  In addition, as countries like China and India become bigger global powers, ".Asia" will grow to become a household name like the Dot-coms. On a smaller scale, I personally feel that I will be able to get more out of Google's GeoTargeting feature, as Asia contains more than half of the world's population.  Also ".Asia", being a complete word in itself may help to generate more organic traffic. >>

With my website, Persian.asia, I plan to counter the negative opinions of Iran and its people which have been expressed by some of the media.  As the site expands, I plan to make it a more interactive website allowing visitors to publish content, post comments and basically take advantage of the Web 2.0 characteristics. Since there are many blogs and websites portraying only the negative aspects of the country, I would like to have Persian.asia focus on the neutral or positive side.  I am confident that the DotAsia sponsored Top Level Domain will support my endeavors when the time comes.
